What is special about our program?

While most of the Engineering Technology & Trades degrees and certificates are designed for obtaining employable skills, many will transfer into 4-year Bachelor's degree programs. Our Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology degrees each have a Joint Admissions agreement with SUNY Institute of Technology. This means that students meeting admission requirements at MVCC and keeping the required GPA and coursework will be guaranteed acceptance into the 4-year Bachelor's program.

Most of our certificate programs are also designed for obtaining employable skills and, at the same time give a "sneak peak" into the accompanying Associate Degree. Where identified, all certificate credits can be applied to certain degrees within the department.
