Accounting/Business Instructor– Tenure Track to teach Financial, Managerial, Intermediate, Government, Not-for-Profit, Cost, and Computerized Accounting; Financial Management and various business courses. Master´s degree in Accounting or an MBA with 18 graduate hours in Accounting required. Teaching experience at the community college or university level and qualifications that complements the needs of the Center for Social Sciences, Business and Information Sciences preferred. Industry training experience considered.

Computer Science/Information Systems Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Computer Science, Information Systems courses including programming, data structures, operating systems, computer applications, cyber security, and networking. Master´s degree in Computer Science or related field required. Experience in cyber security, networking, information assurance, Networking certificates and qualifications that complement the needs of the Center for Social Sciences, Business and Information Sciences preferred.

Criminal Justice Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Policing, and related courses. Master´s degree in Criminal Justice required. Field and professional law enforcement background, qualifications that complement the needs of the Center for Social Sciences, Business and Information Sciences and Ph.D. in Criminal Justice preferred.

Hospitality Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Culinary Arts, Food Service, Restaurant, and Hospitality Management. Assist with enrollment, program growth and curriculum development. This position is located primarily on the Rome Campus. Master´s degree in Hospitality or other appropriate discipline and experience in the hospitality industry required. Qualifications that complement the needs of the Center for Social Science, Business Information Sciences preferred.

Social Science Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Sociology, Public Policy, Political and Social Science. Research methods coursework and engaging students in community outreach. Master´s degree in appropriate discipline required. Qualifications that complement the needs of the Center for Socials Sciences, Business and Information Sciences and Ph.D. preferred.

Biology Instructor – Two (2) Tenure Track Positions to teach Anatomy and Physiology (cadaver experience preferred), General Biology and Environmental Science. Involvement with interdisciplinary/learning communities. Master´s degree in Biology or comparable science required.

Geology/Environmental Science Instructor – Tenure Track to teach General Geology and Environmental Science. Involvement with interdisciplinary/learning communities. Master´s degree in Geology or Master´s degree in Environmental Science with Bachelor´s degree in Geology. Experience teaching in Geology and closely related subjects preferred.

Human Services Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Human Services courses and oversee internships with outside agencies. Master´s degree in Social Work, Human Services or other related field, clinical experience relevant to courses within Human Services, and willingness to serve as liaison to field placements required. Ph.D. preferred.

Psychology Instructor – Two (2) Tenure Track Positions to teach a range of Psychology courses. Master´s degree in Psychology required. Strong background in Developmental Psychology and Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred.

Nursing Instructor – Tenure Track Position Pending Budget Approval to teach coursework for day or evening classes and clinicals between the Utica and Rome Campus. Travel to off-campus clinical sites required. N.Y.S.R.N. license, a B.S. degree with major in Nursing, M.S. degree with major in Nursing or currently enrolled and pursuing an M.S. degree in Nursing; and clinical experience within the last three years in one or more of the following areas: Maternity, Medical-Surgical, and/or Psychiatric Nursing required. M.S. degree in Nursing Education preferred.

Respiratory Care Instructor – Term Appointment Summer/Fall 2010 to teach coursework in the field of Respiratory Care. Travel to off-campus clinical sites required. N.Y.S.R.R.T. license and A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Care, documented classroom teaching experience and minimum of three years recent critical/acute care including mechanical ventilation experience required. B.S. degree preferred.

Developmental Chemistry Instructor – Tenure Track Position Pending Budget Approval to teach Essentials of Chemistry and Chemistry II. Teaching assignments will include classes on both the Utica and Rome campuses. Master´s degree in Chemistry, Science Education or related field with a Bachelor´s degree in Chemistry required. College developmental level teaching experience preferred.

Developmental Reading/Critical Thinking Instructor – Tenure Track Position Pending Budget Approval to teach Essentials of Reading and Study Skills, Academic Reading, and Critical Thinking and Reasoning. Teaching assignments will include classes on both the Utica and Rome campuses. Master´s degree in Literacy, Reading Education or related field with a Bachelor´s degree in Education or related field required. College developmental level teaching experience preferred.

Developmental Writing Instructor – Tenure Track Position Pending Budget Approval to teach Introduction to College English (a non-credit course intended to develop basic writing, revising and editing skills), English I: Composition (a credit-bearing freshman composition course). Teaching assignments will include classes on both the Rome and Utica campuses. Master´s degree in English, Writing or Rhetoric with a Bachelor´s degree in English or related field required. College developmental level teaching experience preferred.

Civil Engineering Technology Instructor – Tenure Track to teach in the following core areas: statics, strengths of materials, soil mechanics and foundations, steel design (LRFD), reinforced concrete, microstation/inroads, construction management, and transportation in the classroom as well as the laboratory setting with integration of microstation into several pertinent courses as listed above. New York State Professional Engineer´s license, Bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, proficiency with microstation/inroads, experience in the Civil Engineering industry and ability to teach a wide range of Civil Technology courses required. Master´s degree preferred.

Mathematics Instructor – Two (2) Tenure Track Positions to teach Mathematics courses with a commitment to the lower level courses. Master´s degree in Mathematics or equivalent degree with a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate mathematics courses and ability to teach a range of courses from developmental through university parallel courses of the first two years required. Community college teaching experience with knowledge of a technical area or mathematics education courses preferred.

English Instructor – Tenure Track to teach Composition, Oral and Written Communication, Ideas and Values in Literature and Effective Speech. Master´s degree in English or related field and ability to assess writing ability required. Ph.D. preferred.

History Instructor – Tenure Track to teach History of Civilization I & II, American History, New York State History and Geography. Master´s degree in History or related field required. Ph.D. preferred.
