Each year the Genesis Group recognizes Central New York educators and programs who are making a difference in the quality of life in the Mohawk Valley region. Mohawk Valley Community College participates in this program, nominating MVCC teachers, staff members, and programs that exemplify what is most outstanding about New York State's first community college.

THE PROCESS:

  • Electronic nominations will be taken on the MVCC website through October 5, 2012.
  • The MVCC Employee Recognition Council will review nominations and make recommendations to the Cabinet for at least one candidate in teaching, non-teaching, and program categories.
  • Cabinet will approve final recommendations and forward candidates to Genesis Group for consideration.
  • Genesis will notify award winners and President's office.
  • Genesis Awards Ceremony will be held Thursday, November 15th at Harts Hill Inn.

Deadline for nominations for the 2012 Genesis Celebration of Education Awards program is OCTOBER 5, 2012.

The Program you are nominating should be of an exceptional professional quality that makes it stand out above and beyond other programs at MVCC.
