The Counseling Center
The Counseling Center is here to assist students in achieving their educational goals, whatever they may be: one class, certificate, or two degrees. We understand that there are many issues facing college students and the Counseling staff is ready to assist in a variety of ways to help address any roadblocks or barriers. We work with students of all ages, teenagers to senior citizens. We are not psychotherapists.
The Counseling Center offers Personal, Career and Academic Counseling. We have an abundance of possibilities.
We can assist you in transferring to other schools and we also have listings of local agencies which you may prefer to use and we can assist you in making those contacts.
On staff, we have 2 Counselors, a part-time Psychologist and a part-time Substance Abuse Coordinator from the Mohawk Valley Council on Alcoholism and Addiction.
You MUST come to Counseling to withdraw from classes. Requests to CHANGE MAJORS are also initiated in the Counseling Center.
There is no charge to students for any services in the Counseling Center.
Please stop in and say "hello" to the Counseling Center in Payne Hall Student Service Center, RM 104B.
