Women in higher education, and especially women who teach difficult subjects like STEM, are often given lower scores on student evaluations from students even in classes with similar content and grades. Students also describe women professors with different terminology focusing on their appearance more than with men. There is research on this subject, and we would be interested in presenting it and discussing the implication of this for tenure/promotion.
