At one time in this country, it was believed by many, that if you were incarcerated, you were a bad person and in some cases were not fit for society. Perhaps you carried a reputation that was hard to shake. But what are we to do with more than 2 million people who are under the thumb of our nation's criminal justice system. In all of our goodness and land of opportunity, the United States leads all other countries in the incarceration of men, women and children. Here at Mohawk Valley Community College, we have launched a very progressive campaign to provide a new direction and new opportunities to individuals who are looking to channel their lives in the right direction. Come and see what we are doing to bring out the best in those who are reentering our community with a new sense of hope.
