Student ID ( M number) and Personal Identification Number (PIN) Request Information

 

In order to use the Student Information and Registration System (SIRS) you need to have an ID number and a PIN. Your "M" number is your student ID, which is issued to you upon your admission to the college or as requested through the Non-Matriculated Enrollment Form.

SIRS is used by our students to:

• register for classes
• view academic records
• view financial aid information
• view midterm and final grades
• view account information and pay for courses
• update personal information

FORGOT OR LOST PIN

NEW STUDENTS

If you plan to enter a degree or certificate program at MVCC:

• Apply to the college at www.mvcc.edu/apply
• Once you are accepted you will receive information about your student ID (M#) and SIRS PIN from the Admissions Office in the mail.

If you do not wish to matriculate in a program (just want to take a class) then please follow the steps:

1. Click the Non-Matriculated Enrollment Form
2. Enter your information into the blank spaces, print the form, and sign it . (Do not leave blank spaces).
3. Sign the form (Your signature is REQUIRED).
4. Mail or fax to:

   Fax: (315) 792-5698
   

Within 48 hours of receipt by the Registration's Office, you'll receive emails that contains your Student ID number and PIN numbers. They will come separately to the email address given on the form. . If you would prefer to receive your PIN by mail, it will be mailed to permanent home address you submit on your form.

FORGOT OR LOST PIN

If you remember your ID number,

1. Go to the login page. Enter your ID number (M number). Click on "Forgot PIN?' The screen that comes up will ask you to enter your ID number again.
2. When asked your security question, enter your answer exactly as you typed it originally.
3. A reset page will appear. Reset your six digit PIN and use the new number to login.

If you don't remember your ID number (M number) or never established a security question/answer:

1. Click here for the PIN Request Form.
2. Check "Requesting Duplicate PIN"
3. Print the form, sign it, and mail or fax it to:

Within 48 hours of receipt by the Office of Records and Registration, you'll receive an email that contains your PIN with a separate email to you with your ID number. If you would prefer to receive your PIN by mail, it will be mailed to your permanent home address. We cannot mail to any other address. If you have a new permanent home address and want to receive your PIN there, you will need to submit an official change of address with the Office of Records and Registration before you request a duplicate PIN
