Session Description: How can college leadership work to ensure that momentum for guided pathways reform continues even amid leadership transitions? Josh Wyner, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, will lead this session designed to share strategies for how community college presidents, board members, and members of the cabinet can use their unique leadership positions to sustain focus on pathways work through periods of transition at the college. This session will draw from learnings from community colleges that have been finalists for the Aspen Prize and those particularly successful in implementing transformational change through guided pathways reforms to improve student success outcomes.

Session Description: This session will review the New Learning Compact framework and share the ways in which our colleges have leveraged it to support a holistic approach to teaching faculty and professional staff professional learning. In order to support our students, we need to strategically invest in and coordinate professional learning for all our employees (faculty, professional staff, support staff and administrators). Panelists will share concrete examples of work on their campus as well as strategies and recommendations.
