The MVCC Foundation, 501 c(3) nonprofit corporation, was established in 1966 to secure private sector support to supplement and enhance public funding at the College. In addition to fundraising, the Foundation oversees the management and administration of 182 funds totaling $8M. The MVCC Foundation currently offers more than 130 scholarship opportunities, with each scholarship having a unique set of criteria which determines a student's eligibility. With the range of criteria, nearly every student will find one or more scholarships for which they qualify. In addition to scholarships, the Foundation offers several student support funds, which help MVCC students facing unexpected financial challenges. These funds provide support and help remove financial barriers, allowing students to continue and complete their educational goals. This session will provide information about the MVCC Foundation, Scholarships, Student Support Funds, and the application process. There will also be time allotted to answer specific questions about individual scholarships and funding.
